Jim is an influential and inspirational water industry figure with almost 40 years experience in the trade all over the world, including the UK , USA and South Africa .
He studied Civil Engineering at Wits. University in Johannesburg in the 1960s and is now one of the word's foremost experts in the business of water quality engineering.
He pioneered specialised water quality engineering techniques both at home and abroad and after a five-year joint venture, founded Panton McLeod in 1994.
After flirting with retirement, Jim returned to the company in 2004 to assist Managing Director Iain Weir with the development of new techniques and business opportunities. With Iain, he is now playing a large part in driving forward the company's continued success.
Iain is regarded as one of Panton McLeod's biggest success stories having started in a hands-on role at grass roots level in 1996 before proceeding to the post of Managing Director just five years later.
Having graduated from Paisley University with a BSc Honours in Chemistry, Iain put his engineering skills, learned in previous years in the building industry, to good use at Panton McLeod and so began a meteoric rise through the ranks. His broad range of skills and calm and calculating nature saw him progress quickly to join the board.
Under his guidance the company has gone from strength to strength. Now, with almost 10 years experience in the water industry under his belt, Iain is regarded as a leader in his field, with particular expertise in cleaning, repair and water quality engineering in general.

Paul is another success story who has worked his way through the ranks and into a senior position through a combination of hard graft and talent. He joined the company in 1998 after graduating from Liverpool University with a B. Eng. in Civil Engineering and like Iain before him, started out at grass roots level.
The company wasn't slow to spot his management potential and he was quickly elevated to the position of Operations Manager.
Having been involved fully at board level for some time Paul was officially appointed to the board as Operations Director in June 2005, bringing his engineering, client and business talents to the upper echelons of the company.

Shelagh is a “local lass” and describes herself as “Borders through and through”. She set up her own private accountancy practice after graduating from Borders College in Galashiels and earned her spurs in the cut throat numbers game.
After being contracted to Panton McLeod on a short-term assignment in 1995 the company soon realised what her tenacious and sagacious approach to making and spending money could do for its business – and the relationship has proved mutually beneficial ever since. Shelagh revolutionised the company's financial, administrative and personnel affairs and it wasn't long before she was appointed to the board. |
